Not only am I a non-stop shopper, but I’m a non-stop returner! (Is that a word…?) I’m just a girl who can’t say *no* when it comes to all things retail! But I tend to return A LOT of things that I buy (you just have to be very mindful of the return policies of stores since so many have become much more strict about the window of returns). I always ask myself these questions before I decide on adding something to my wardrobe: 1) Will I love it next year; 2) Is this really “me” or am I just copying someone else’s style; 3) Is it comfortable; 4) Is it machine washable (when at all possible since I hate dry cleaning!); and 5) Is it worth the money. Here are 5 items that sailed through these questions and are definite keepers.

Long Puffer Coat. I REALLY cannot have enough coats. I’m pretty much obsessed with coats and sweaters. I truly believe I am destined to live in Canada or Iceland at some point in my life. One of my fave sites for parkas is Abercrombie & Fitch, as well as their sister store Hollister. Most of their clothing skews very young, BUT their outerwear is worth checking out. What I liked about this parka is it’s cozy but not constrictive. I also love the blush pink color. I’m not a fan of white/ivory parkas because they show dirt so fast and this pink is just such a nice, soft, girly color. They have other colors, but since I have so many basic colors, this is just a nice addition to the parka lineup! And you can’t beat this price for a high quality parka. Size ordered: Large. I like to have plenty of room for my sweaters! https://www.abercrombie.com/shop/us/p/ultra-long-puffer-36025820?categoryId=12252&seq=04&faceout=prod

Long Statement Coat. Keeping on the pink trend, I’ve been obsessed with this coat for months. I’m not crazy about the price, and I’m hoping it will go on sale soon so I’m keeping the tags on hoping for a price adjustment!!! But this color! WOW! Hot pink is just such a statement color. And it’s a departure from a boring black or camel fabric coat. While Rebecca Minkoff’s handbag line is one of my favorites, I’ve never bought any of her clothing items. Based on the quality, her clothing will not disappoint. A coat like this is an investment but in turn you’ll get years of wear and plenty of compliments! Size ordered: Medium [I originally ordered the large, but had way too much room so sized down] https://shop.nordstrom.com/s/rebecca-minkoff-lucia-coat/5485711/full

Trumpet Gown. Did you ever see something and just think “if only I had someplace to go to wear this”. Well, that’s how I feel about this gown. I saw an Insta Influencer wearing this at the holidays. I ordered it on a whim, thinking I’ll just order and return it, but WOW, it’s a keeper. I absolutely love Vince Camuto’s shoes. It’s one of the few shoe brands that I consistently buy. So, as with Rebecca Minkoff, I shouldn’t have been surprised that I woud love this gown. For the price, it’s worth just having for that winter special occasion. I originally ordered the Peacock color, but wound up ordering the green one instead. It’s such a rich, beautiful green, and the style reminds me of old Hollywood. I sized up to a 14 because I have a wide back and the 12 was just way too snug. While form fitting, you want to be able to sit! Special occasion dresses ALWAYS run small. I never pay attention to sizing, just go with what fits you! https://shop.nordstrom.com/s/vince-camuto-off-the-shoulder-velvet-trumpet-gown/5363285/full

Sweatshirt. I love sweatshirts as much as I love sherpa tops which is A LOT! I also really love this site. The clothes are adorable and well priced. Their graphic tops are considered Custom Made so they are not returnable (kind of a bummer), also any items you do return are only eligible for store credit, but they have so many cute things you can always find something! I also bought the pink sweatshirt that says Saturday! 🙂 Size ordered: L (I love oversized!) https://pinklily.com/mascara-leggings-leopard-done-ash-graphic-sweatshirt/

Tunic Sweater. OK, another obsession I have is Free People. This store is just the perfect blend of California boho chic. Granted some of their clothes are a little too boho for my taste (and lifestyle), but there is so much to love here. The Easy Street Tunic is a blogger’s favorite item. Despite the price, trust me, this top is so worth it!!!! So comfy and easy to wear, and such excellent quality, soft and cozy. I bought the heather grey and am debating about getting another color. Size ordered: S https://www.freepeople.com/shop/easy-street-tunic/?category=sweaters&color=004&quantity=1&type=REGULAR
